Car Crashes Into Westchester Building

A motorist had to be removed from a vehicle after crashing into a storefront in Westchester on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. when a sedan reportedly crashed into Broadway Medical Services on South Broadway in Yonkers.

First responders were forced to extricate the driver, whose condition was not immediately available on Monday morning. 

According to police, the 68-year-old driver suffered a medical event right before the car went into the office building. He has been taken to a local hospital for evaluation. There were no injuries reported inside the office.

The roof of the Ford had to be cut off to extricate an occupant from the vehicle. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
